Our Story
TMC Environmental founders Thomas and Matthew Clark grew up in the contracting and property development business. They learned the fundamental lessons of personal service and professional standards from their parents, who owned several successful businesses in the greater Boston area.
After gaining years of experience working in the family businesses and earning degrees in chemistry and civil engineering, these two entrepreneurs launched TMC Services in 1995. With their names on the door and their specialized scientific and engineering expertise, the Clark brothers were ready to partner with clients who shared their forward-looking approach to environmental services.
The firm quickly gained a reputation for smart strategic thinking and technological sophistication, as well as for reliability and customer focused service. From its earliest days as a startup, a team of experts brought proven industry experience to every job.
As a result, business has grown dramatically over the past 16 years. Today, more than 100 professionals serve private and public-sector clients from several TMC Environmental office locations throughout the Northeast.
In 2011, TMC Services, Inc. became TMC Environmental, reflecting the company’s preeminent place in the environmental industry and its core values as an accountable and entrepreneurial family business.
